It’s sunny almost every day in the Philippines, but Boracay’s kind of sunny is unlike any other. Louie & Karen’s choice of wedding venue, Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa, was the perfect place for them, considering their happy and chill personalities. You’ll see in the photos below how they were able to pull off a unique wedding motif (ORANGE!) in a unique way. It can be tricky to use the color orange, but we love how they made it work. First, instead of the entourage wearing the color, the couple incorporated it in themselves – Louie wore an orange suit and pants, and Karen wore big orange earrings and carried a bouquet of white and orange blooms. We were amazed how everything looked instantly joyful and orange-y without it looking tacky. Add to that Boracay’s natural sunshine hues that change color throughout the day, and you get a perfect complement to this wedding’s colors.
It was also a gift that Boracay was newly reopened. The island was beautiful then, but now it’s on a whole different league of beauty. It’s no wonder why it’s well loved by tourists and locals alike, like our couple Louie & Karen. We are very grateful to them for giving us their trust and opportunity to capture in photographs the most important moments of the most important day of their life.
