What makes a wedding complete? A bride can have a long list of things she needs to book, to buy, to accomplish. Over the years the wedding, as we know it, has evolved from a ceremony that starts and ends at the bride’s house, to something so elaborate that you might be tagged insane if you don’t plan at least a year ahead! Don’t get us wrong though. We love a beautiful wedding, and we are fans of couples who are so thorough and thoughtful in their planning. We love all the photogenic details, we love the grand entrances, we love the well rehearsed couple dances! But when all of these are stripped away, we hope a bride is happy. We hope a groom is smitten. We hope love remains.
This is how we felt during Aiky & Rose’s wedding. They had the works – hotel preparations, beautiful invitation suite, a seamless timeline from start of makeup to reception time, a lineup of suppliers we loved working with. However, what’s remarkable about them is how in every moment, their love is central. They knew, and focused, on what is essential. Come wedding day, they were focused on each other and on their closest loved ones. They opted for a more relaxed reception in a restaurant where they can chat with their families and friends! We’re big fans of that! As photographers, we were thrilled to photograph so many moments they had together with their guests during dinnertime. Oh and we super love the street portraits we were able to take in between their ceremony and reception! it’s true that every wedding is unique, and we’re here for all of it!
