A lot of people know Tracy Abad – celebrity, radio DJ, host, overall pretty and charming girl everybody adores. I guess I am lucky to know her and JP in a closer way. There are a lot of things I can say about JP & Tracy – how they’re one of the most pleasant, humble couples I have ever met and spent time with, how in their wedding I saw and proved that I’m right about thinking that way about them, how they look so complete with each other (and with their furbabies!), how joyful their day was and how joyful it looks in photographs. They lit up every place they went to – from Discovery Primea for their preps, to the church, National Shrine of Sacred Heart, and to their reception venue, Makati Sports Club.
Because we shot their engagement session in Korea, we were really comfortable with each other when their wedding day came. We had a lot of time talking in Seoul, and even online between that and their wedding day. Through those, I saw how thoughtful they were, how much they were excited for the day, and how they carefully and purposefully planned every detail of their wedding. Tracy shared in her Instagram posts that their wedding color, old rose, is a tribute to her grandmother, whose name is Rosie. I was absolutely impressed by the intention, and it added more depth to what others would think is a typical wedding motif. Even the church they chose is historical for their family. Here’s what she shared:
A little trivia about our Church. The National Shrine of the Sacred Heart is actually where JP’s parents got married. To uphold them and foster a sense of continuity as well as to venerate and honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we decided to tie the knot there too. ❤ It seems it was fate because there was a time, some years ago, when my mom brought me there to pray. She told me to pray to the Sacred Heart of Jesus because He will heal my broken heart and give me someone who’ll take care of it forever. Fast forward to January 18,2018 where I gave my heart to JP in front of friends and family in that beautiful Church.
Talk about meanings and true to life love stories! I and my team are utterly happy to have been chosen to be part of a day that’s full of love, thoughtfulness and careful preparation. It turned out perfectly – and I hope these photos show how.
