“The moment I stumbled upon your website, I knew right then that you would best capture the mood that we want for our wedding… fresh, fun, real, honest and organic. Michael and I are normally awkward in front of the camera but you guys made it fun and comfortable for us. Thank you for being nice and friendly as you made it so much easier for us since we felt as if we were just spending some time with some new found friends. I knew I made the right decision of choosing you guys when the husband told me few days after that he’s glad we got Gail as our photographer.” – words from the lovely bride, Charity :)
If I were to make a list of all the things I like to do, traveling and taking photos will definitely be somewhere in the top 5. What a great thing to often be able to do both at the same time! So happy to be trusted enough by clients who like our works enough to entrust their destination weddings to us.
Because of logistics, couples who get married outside manila exchange quite a lot of emails with me. As a destination wedding photographer, we have to plan together their wedding day, since coordination is usually different from how it’s done in the Metro. Charity and Michael are one of those couples, so I have always known them to be super nice.
However, I didn’t think they were even more pleasant in person! They picked us up at the airport, treated us to lunch (I can still remember how good the Portillo’s sandwich tastes!), and made us feel comfortable. It felt far from work, far from being a client-supplier relationship, I think one of the reasons why they booked me is that they want a Philippine wedding photographer to shoot their wedding day.
We had long days shooting their prenup, rehearsal dinner and finally, their wedding day. And in the course of four days, we’ve made new friends in Charity, Michael, their family, and their friends. In fact, they made us feel like we were in the Philippines with their Pinoy na Pinoy jokes and Pinoy na Pinoy hospitality.
Truly Charity and Michael’s wedding day was a reflection of Filipino culture. Instead of getting married in the city, they chose a quieter place where they can share their special day with their loved ones. Theirs was a day stripped of the unessential details. It was all about them – Charity, Michael, and the deep love they share with each other. I think the photos show exactly that.
