Real Brides Share What They Would’ve Done Differently If They Could Redo Their Wedding

Weeks ago, we posted this question in our IG story:

We didn’t really expect a lot of answers, but we were so surprised that a lot of brides sent responses! Let us share with you some of them:

  1. Buy a ready to wear gown

Every bride has a dream gown, and it can feel really special to go through the process of having one custom made just for you. However, unless you choose a reputable designer who’s consistent in their output, going the patahi route can become a nightmare. Maybe this is where these brides are coming from. Maybe their gowns didn’t look exactly like how they imagined it would turn out, maybe the fit was off, or maybe it was just too much of a hassle to go back and forth for fittings and revisions.

2. Book a coordinator.

Now that a lot of couples are having intimate weddings, brides can fall into thinking that a coordinator is unnecessary – as long as you book all the other suppliers that fits your dream of a wedding, you’re good to go. However, a wedding won’t happen unless somebody makes it. That’s what coordinators are for! Even with awesome organizational skills pre-wedding and a great plan for the day, a couple should be hands-off on the day itself. This way, they can simply enjoy their wedding as it happens, knowing that somebody is making sure that everything is going according to plan.

3. Have fewer guests.

Well this is a no-brainer right now! It’s a gift to be forced to have a limited number of guests at this time. You can spend more time conversing with every guest, instead of having to quickly say hi and bye during pictorial time.

4. Better food, and better experience with it.

Again, this is something that might be easier to decide on these days. With a limited number of guests, couples can relax and enjoy their meal with everybody, plus choose a maybe more expensive but more delicious meal to enjoy.

5. A different reception

These answers point to one thing – going with what YOU want!

6. Get you as our photographer.

You know how they say there’s a “this is it” feeling when looking for suppliers? If you feel it with us (or any other photographer!), don’t hesitate and go with your gut feel!

Among all the responses we got, there was a single one that stood out:

We certainly hope that every future bride of us would feel that everything is perfect – from their dress, down to the tiny details of their reception program.

TESTIMONIALS

The moment we got engaged, Bryan and I knew that we wanted our photos to be bright, light and of course, timeless! Foreveryday was already on top of the list of the major suppliers we needed to book. The night we met them, my heart was so happy knowing that we were in good hands! They didn’t only help us with our photos but also extended their help in choosing other suppliers. Such generous people!

- Camille & Bryan

I had the opportunity to work with Foreveryday team twice! Yes, that’s right, twice! They are the photographer of our dreams and we still wonder if their cameras were touched by fairy dust as their pictures were just magical!

- Lara & Wes

We knew you were the one for us the moment we stumbled upon your IG profile! Thank you for capturing our silliest and happiest moments during our wedding. Kudos for turning our awkward poses to model-esque images!
